E-RGB

These cable and pipe transits are used in high-risk land-based environments to minimize danger by preventing the spread of fire, water, gas, chemicals and other hazards substances.

E-RGB provide the same sealing as the standard MCT Brattberg system but with added, built-in protection against electromagnetic pulse (due to lightning or nuclear blast) and interference (EMI), electronic sabotage (synthetic EMP) and static electricity.
E-RGB frame type is casted into a concrete wall or floor. It is manufactured from a 60x60x6 mm angle bar.

  • The E-RGB is also approved for grounding and bonding applications.

Benefits of MCT Brattberg E-systems

Technical Specifications

E-RGB sizes

The standard transit is made of an angle bar 60x60x6 mm, in mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium. The mild steel transits are supplied with two types of surface finish, primer or galvanized. The internal width is always 120.5 ± 0.5.

The standard height varies with the sizes - numbered 2, 4, 6 or 8, which give heights of 100, 159, 218 and 276 respectively. All the frames can be manufactured in combinations.

E-RBGO transit are of the same type as the RGG transits but with one of the ends removable which enables installation where cables already have been pulled.

RBG Sizes

n = number of frames in width.
Tolerances single frame: 3.5 mm.
Thickness of material 6 mm except for
internal horizontal and vertical walls in

EMC

  • All dimensions are exactly the same for the standard MCT Brattberg components.
  • All Insert Blocks are marked with yellow marking (see instructions).

Grounding and Bonding

  • For grounding & bonding applications standard presswedge or endpacking is sufficient. 
  • Series RGS, RGB, RGG, and E-RGP These products are primarily intended for grounding and bonding of communication, instrument, power, braid or wire armored cables and copper pipes.
  • Plugs and Wraps are only for use in Grounding and Bonding applications, not EMC

Correct and safe installations

To achieve the highest standard of safety, a cable or pipe transit must be installed correctly. As there are many different types of frame – which may be either welded, bolted or glued into position – and insert block, it is essential that installers known when to use the most appropriate installation method.

Multiple frames

HORIZONTAL MULTIPLE FRAMES

Horizontal multiple frames are described by listing the frame type and size x the desired number of horizontal openings.
Designation (starting at bottom):
Frame type 6x4

VERTICAL MULTIPLE FRAMES

Vertical multiple frames are described by listing the bottom frame type and size + the next frame type and size.
Designation (starting at bottom):
(frame type) 6+6+4 and (frame type) 6+4+2

List the entire vertical frames x the desired number of horizontal repetitions.
